Community Circles

Community
Somewhere there are people to whom
We can speak with passion
Without having the words catch in our throats.
Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us
Eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us
Whenever we come into our own power

Community means strength that joins our strength
To do the work that needs to be done.
Arms to hold us when we falter,
A circle of healing. A circle of friends.
Someplace where we can be free.

~Starhawk, Dreaming the Dark

Our community is best described as an interfaith/interspiritual experience. As a community we do not subscribe to one particular spiritual path, but understand that each participant has chosen their own path for their journey. In our circle we look at the similarities among our beliefs rather than the differences. Every individual has a gift or gifts to bring to the circle and we provide an opportunity for all to share their perspectives in a safe and sacred space. We also have a different person provide our inspirational talk each time the circle meets as this provides the optimal environment for open-mindedness and the continued growth and sharing for each person that meets in circle.

Sunday Spiritual Gathering
Our Sunday Spiritual Gatherings are held every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Harriet Dance Center, 6438 Lyndale Ave S, Richfield, MN. Enter through the back door; parking is available in the front, side and back of the building; bring slippers or an extra pair of socks to change into; and arrive with a willingness to experience Spirit in motion. An outline of the order of service can be found on our Resources page, please note this is only an outline as sometimes the flow of Spirit requests us to do things differently.

Fellowship Circle
Our Fellowship Circle meets at Yorktown Continental Apartments, 7151 York Ave S, Edina, MN. The format for this circle is more free flowing than the Sunday Spiritual Gathering – there is more time for individuals to share their personal stories and reflections. There is also a guided meditation and inspirational talk provided at each circle. This circle is comprised mostly of the senior residents that reside in the building, but is open to all that are interested in attending. This building has a locked entry so if you are interested in joining us, please contact us at at 612-280-0763 or via email at office@circleofgracemn.org for more details.
